2️⃣ Basic Concepts

3D Object

Length (l)
Breadth (b)
Height (h)
Radius (r)

Surface Area

Curved Surface Area (CSA)
केवल curved surface का area।
Lateral Surface Area (LSA)
Total Surface Area (TSA)
Volume
Capacity

3️⃣ Important Definitions

Face: Solid
Base: Solid
Slant Height (l): Cone/Pyramid

4️⃣ Formula Master Sheet

🟣 Cube — घन

Edge = a
LSA = 4a²
TSA = 6a²
Volume = a³

🟣 Cuboid — घनाभ / Rectangular Parallelepiped

Length = l, Breadth = b, Height = h
LSA = 2h(l+b)
TSA = 2(lb + bh + hl)
Volume = lbh

🟣 Cylinder —

Radius = r, Height = h
CSA = 2πrh
TSA = 2πr(h+r)
Volume = πr²h

🟣 Cone —

Radius = r, Height = h, Slant Height = l
l = √(r²+h²)
CSA = πrl
TSA = πr(l+r)
Volume = ⅓πr²h

🟣 Sphere — गोला

Radius = r
Surface Area = 4πr²
Volume = ⁴⁄₃πr³

🟣 Hemisphere —

CSA = 2πr²
TSA = 3πr²
Volume = ⅔πr³

🟣 Prism —

Base Area = B
Base Perimeter = p
Right Prism का LSA = ph
TSA = ph + 2B
Volume = Bh

🟣 Pyramid —

Base Area = B
Volume = ⅓Bh
Regular Right Pyramid का LSA = ½pl
TSA = B + ½pl

5️⃣ Shape-Wise Complete Concepts

Cube

LSA = 4a², TSA = 6a², V = a³

Cuboid

Cylinder

Cone

l² = r² + h²

Sphere

Hemisphere

Trick:
Hemisphere CSA = 2πr²
Hemisphere TSA = 3πr²
TSA = CSA + Base Area

Prism

Pyramid

6️⃣ Unit Conversion

Conversion Value
1 metre 100 cm
1 cm 10 mm
1 m² 10,000 cm²
1 m³ 1,000,000 cm³
1 litre 1000 cm³
1 mL 1 cm³
1 litre 1000 mL
1 m = 100 cm
1 m² = (100)² cm² = 10,000 cm²
1 m³ = (100)³ cm³ = 10,00,000 cm³

7️⃣ Important Rules & Exam Traps

8️⃣ Shortcuts & Tricks

⚡ Trick 1 — Diameter
r = d/2 पहले निकालें। Formula में diameter को सीधे radius की जगह न रखें।
⚡ Trick 2 — Cube में ratio
यदि edge का ratio a:b है तो volume का ratio a³:b³ होगा।
⚡ Trick 3 — Sphere scaling
⚡ Trick 4 — Cylinder scaling
⚡ Trick 5 — Same base and height
Same base और same perpendicular height वाले pyramid का volume corresponding prism के volume का 1/3 होता है।

Answer: B

1️⃣5️⃣ Advanced Level

🔴 Advanced 1 — Sphere Ratio

Solution:

Surface Area Ratio = 3² : 6² = 9 : 36 = 1 : 4
Volume Ratio = 3³ : 6³ = 27 : 216 = 1 : 8

Surface Area = 1:4, Volume = 1:8

🔴 Advanced 2 — Cube and Cuboid

Solution:

Cube Volume = 10³ = 1000 cm³
Cuboid Volume = lbh
1000 = 20×5×h
1000 = 100h
h = 10 cm

Height = 10 cm

🔴 Advanced 3 — Cone

एक right circular cone में r = 9 cm और h = 12 cm है। Slant height ज्ञात कीजिए।

l = √(r²+h²)
= √(81+144)
= √225
= 15 cm

Slant Height = 15 cm

🔴 Advanced 4 — Capacity

V = 2×1.5×1 = 3 m³
1 m³ = 1000 L
Capacity = 3000 L

Capacity = 3000 L

🔴 Advanced 5 — Hemisphere

2πr² = 154
2×22/7×r² = 154
44r² = 1078
r² = 24.5

1️⃣6️⃣ Common Mistakes

Area = cm²; Volume = cm³.

1️⃣7️⃣ Exam-Wise Strategy

SSC Strategy

इसलिए Cube/Cuboid के साथ Right Prism, Cone, Cylinder, Sphere, Hemisphere और Regular Right Pyramid के standard formulas को अच्छी तरह तैयार करें।

Railway Strategy

CDS Strategy

CDS के official syllabus में Cuboid, Right Circular Cone, Cylinder और Sphere की surface area/volume स्पष्ट हैं।

NDA Strategy

State/Police/Revenue Exams
